In Crimea, “suffering from sanctions,” 50 varieties of cheese were counted
To stimulate tourism in Crimea, it is necessary to reduce prices for food and goods, achieve the entry of leading mobile operators and bring prices for air tickets to the same level as prices for flights to Sochi.
Political scientist Sergei Markov stated this in his blog, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
According to the expert, all these issues are the responsibility of Russian federal agencies, which must understand the situation and resolve it.
"1. Airline ticket prices. They are higher than in Sochi. We need to achieve equality. This is the responsibility of the Ministry of Transport.
2. Communication prices. Leading Russian mobile operators are afraid of sanctions, so they do not operate directly in Crimea. They work indirectly, and for Crimeans the price of communication is the same as everywhere else, but the price of mobile communication for those coming to Crimea is high. This is the responsibility of the Ministry of Communications, or whatever they have now renamed again.
3. Prices for products and goods. They are slightly higher than in the Sochi region. The Ministry of Economy should give fewer lectures about the market, and should achieve lower prices in Crimea by increasing competition here in different market segments.
What's the most important thing done?
1. Security is ensured.
2. New airport.
3. Crimean Bridge.
4. There is no shortage of anything.
5. There is no shortage of the main thing – water and electricity,” Markov notes.
The political scientist also ironizes that in the stores of Crimea, which is “suffering from the blockade,” the shelves are crowded with a variety of products.
“Crimea is suffering greatly from sanctions and blockade. I counted no more than 50 types of cheese and less than 90 types of meat grub. European bread is not imported at all. Crimeans and vacationers have to eat local bread. Fresh hot and with a crust. It’s a pity I can’t let you break your neck,” writes Markov.
