The Verkhovna Rada put on the agenda the law on repressions for denying the "aggression of the Russian Federation"

This coming week, the Verkhovna Rada will consider a law that will introduce criminal liability for residents of Ukraine who, contrary to state propaganda, claim that there is a civil war in Donbass and deny “Russian aggression.”

The leader of European Solidarity, ex-President Petro Poroshenko, stated this during the Conciliation Council in the Verkhovna Rada, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.

“We, and I want to thank Golos, are jointly submitting to parliament a bill on liability for collaboration. We are firmly convinced that collaboration should be punished not only and not so much in the occupied territories, where people, in order to survive, are forced to go to work in hospitals and schools - responsibility is needed in the territories controlled by Ukraine.

At the same time, another bill that we insist on considering is to increase responsibility for the dissemination of theses of enemy propaganda that undermine the defense capability of Ukraine, the fighting and patriotic spirit of Ukrainians," Poroshenko said.

“When they lie that there is a civil war in Ukraine, when they lie that we have no Russian aggression, when they insult the honor and dignity of the Armed Forces of Ukraine by spreading fake news about their alleged war crimes,” the ex-president said.

Poroshenko urged the heads of other factions and groups to support the law.
