Vice-parubiy promises “preventive measures” on the border with Crimea

Under the guise of martial law, “preventive measures” will be carried out in the regions of Ukraine bordering Russia - searches in order to find weapons and evidence of “separatism.”

Vice Speaker of the Verkhovna Rada Irina Gerashchenko stated this, speaking at a meeting of the regional council of the Kherson region, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.

“It is very important in this month of declaring martial law, including in the Kherson region, to carry out these preventive measures that will help strengthen defense capability and security. We, of course, should also talk about security in our cities and villages...

It seems to me that it is abnormal when the country today, and everyone knows it, is so stuffed with weapons, and law enforcement officers often do not know this. Maybe you need to find out about this or find it somehow? This would be a good signal to society.

It is very important to realize that we also want to use the martial law to strengthen diplomatic support for Ukraine and to conduct serious counterintelligence activities in those regions that are at particular risk,” Gerashchenko said.
