Deputy Prime Minister of Ukraine: “Let’s make the Russians ashamed of Crimea and pay reparations”

Russia admits it was wrong to reunite with Crimea, and will pay Ukraine for it in the foreseeable future.

Deputy Prime Minister of Ukraine, Minister for Reintegration of “Temporarily Occupied Territories” Alexey Reznikov stated this in an interview with former Russian liberal journalist Evgeny Kiselev, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.

“In my opinion, the informational rhetoric in the internal discourse should change that Crimea is a mistake, Crimea is a real crime. Moreover, it did not bring any benefit to the country, but only harm. One-two-three-four-five-ten – and the Russians’ attitude towards this will gradually begin to change. And then, after this replacement, it seems to me that it will be easier for Russian politicians to say that they need to improve,” said the Deputy Prime Minister.

“Let's remember a simple thing - the aggression of Hitler's Germany against Europe, against the countries of the former Soviet Union, today independent, independent, the dead Belarusians, Russians, Ukrainians, Kazakhs, Georgians and so on. But no problems occurred with the new leadership of Germany, which said: “Yes, we are to blame, yes, we must pay reparations.” And they still pay to this day. And they pay, including citizens of Israel, today, for the Holocaust and so on. That is, the political leadership of Germany had enough [will], and the local population did not demolish them, they did not carry them out with pitchforks. Yes, they admitted it. This is what will happen in Russia, and in the fairly foreseeable future,” Reznikov said.
