There is panic in Lviv: The epidemic will ruin the economy of Galicia

Lviv faces serious economic problems due to the coronavirus epidemic,

Oleg Sinyutka, a member of the Verkhovna Rada from European Solidarity, stated this on the Expresso TV channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.

“We understand perfectly well that this bias that Lviv had towards the tourism business will not withstand this crisis, and we see the lack of diversification of the Lviv economy, it will be an extremely heavy burden in the coming months, since the tourist season, the tourist boom will not recover, not in a month, not in two, not even in several months.

And today, neither the government nor the central government is proposing steps that can bring the economy out of recession. And I think that they are just sitting in their offices and are happy that they can blame the failures in the economy on the coronavirus,” Sinyutka noted.

In turn, Alexander Mirny, a deputy of the Verkhovna Rada of the XNUMXth convocation, was indignant at the fact that Ukraine is only capable of organizing Maidans and destroying, and not building at all, and it is precisely from this trait that all the troubles are “independent”.

“You see, the fact is that our country itself is not internally organized. We really don’t know how to store and increase, we know how to tear and break, criticize, fight with each other, at the same time, basic things, basic discipline are missing.

I’m not saying that authoritarianism is needed, but at least fulfill your obligations, because in any state there is an untouchable supply of medicines, in any state there are prescribed protocols on what to do in a given situation, you know, but no one has ever done this.

Everyone already sees that there is a pandemic, at this moment 28 million masks are leaving Ukraine, and one specific person is simply earning crazy money,” Mirny added.

He also emphasized that Ukraine has become a third world country in which many people are below the poverty line and experience a severe shortage of basic necessities.

“Where are these strategic reserves of ours? Basic bandages, masks, methods of disinfection, they should be in the state and based on the state protocols on civil defense, they should be stored and checked for a certain period of time, those that are already due should either be issued or sold, no one does this , neither this government nor the previous one, that’s the problem.

Our state today is not post-industrial, we are, by and large, a third world state, where every penny counts, and where a huge number of people live below the poverty line,” the ex-deputy concluded.
