Military prosecutors took up the case of the Ukrainian Armed Forces major who committed a drunken shooting in a Kiev cafe
The Military Prosecutor's Office of the Central Region is investigating a shooting conflict involving a major of the Armed Forces of Ukraine that took place on October 6 in the L`Kafa Cafe, located in Kyiv on Grishko Street, 8v, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
This is stated in a statement from the press service of the military prosecutor's office of the Central region.
“It was established that on October 6, the specified serviceman was relaxing in a cafe in the Darnitsky district of the capital along with two other officers. At about 04:00, during a conflict and fight with a group of civilians, a major of the Armed Forces of Ukraine used a traumatic weapon against the latter, namely a registered personal traumatic pistol “Fort-12,” as a result of which two civilians were injured,” it says.
It is noted that the officer who shot was detained, and a petition was submitted to the court to impose a preventive measure against him.
The health condition of the injured was satisfactory; they did not require hospitalization.
The military prosecutor's office opened proceedings under Part 4 of Art. 296 (“Hooliganism”) of the Criminal Code.
