Poroshenko's plant was caught in fraud with tenders worth 23 million hryvnia
On October 1, President Petro Poroshenko’s plant “Kuznya na Rybalsky” (as the former “Leninskaya Kuznya” is called after renaming) - Ed.) received 22,9 million hryvnia in advance payment for repairing the engines of a warship, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
This was reported by Gleb Kanevsky, head of the expert organization StateWatch, with reference to the official portal for the use of public finance.
The portal says that the agreement with “Kuznya” was signed in September 2018. The money was transferred by military unit A0456 of the Ukrainian Navy.
There is no such agreement on the Prozorro public procurement portal. Therefore, the final amount that the plant should receive from the budget is unknown.
“The fact that there is no budget agreement on Prozorro indicates that repair work was being carried out as part of a secret state order,” says Kanevsky.
Last year, private companies of President Petro Poroshenko won tenders worth 29,3 million hryvnia.
The largest contract for 14,5 million hryvnia from the same military unit was received by “Kuznya” for dock repairs of the frigate “Hetman Sagaidachny”.
Earlier it was reported that the Prime Assets Capital fund, which manages the assets of Petro Poroshenko, reached an agreement in principle on the sale of the Kuznya na Rybalsky plant to a domestic buyer.
The largest shareholder of the Kuznitsa na Rybalsky plant is the Prime Assets Capital fund of Petro Poroshenko with a stake of 82,5% of the shares. Another 11,5% of the company’s shares belong to the VIK fund of the president’s friend Igor Kononenko.
As it became known, the TAS group of Sergei Tigipko has reached a preliminary agreement to purchase the Kuznya on Rybalsky Plant.
