Ukrainian military personnel should not use Internet messengers in a combat zone, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.

“Messengers like Telegram and Viber have servers located in Russia, and, in principle, everything remains on them, while WhatsApp and Skype remain on servers in the USA... If you open the messenger and work in it, then it already has everything data about you. All this data can be used against our military, which is what we are telling them,” the official said.
Rapko also noted the special vulnerability of iPhone phones.
“If you, for example, have ever picked up an iPhone and pressed a fingerprint, believe me, this iPhone has already photographed you a long time ago, and your fingerprints are already in the database,” he added.
In July 2015, the Verkhovna Rada limited the use of mobile phones by military personnel in the so-called zone. “ATO”. According to the law, military personnel cannot use personal mobile communications in areas where hostilities are taking place.
