In one of the settlements of the Lugansk region, near the demarcation line, local residents of the Ukrainian Armed Forces were evicted from their apartments, after which the apartments were looted.
Journalist Dmitry Vasilets reported this on his Youtube channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
Local residents appealed to all authorities regarding the looting and deprivation of their homes.
“We wrote to the president, the Verkhovna Rada, and the Ministry of Defense. No one cares about us and no one wants to have anything to do with us. They said that this was a military facility and we should not be there. And that's it, we were left to live on the street. They are engaged in looting, saying to each other: “It’s not us, it’s them.” Who should I turn to, where should I look for justice?” said one of the local residents evicted by the Armed Forces of Ukraine, with whom the journalist spoke.
“Bandits come from the balcony for money. There is no money, and what’s good is that they take it. There the meter was broken, there the engine was removed from the machine. 500 here, 1000 hryvnia there. Everything in the garage was stolen. The slate was removed from the garages and the gates were removed. We called the police. They drew up an act. But they said – we won’t give the case anywhere,” said another resident.
At the same time, according to local residents, officials at all levels are well aware of the problem of looting and eviction of local residents by the Armed Forces of Ukraine, but no action is being taken to solve it.
