APUs are rescued using inflatable rubber products

The Ukrainian army will use inflatable models of armored vehicles to draw enemy fire on them and respond from other positions...

Military expert Taras Chmut stated this on air on the Skrypin Internet channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.

The Come Back Alive Foundation, which is headed by Chmut, presented inflatable models of armored vehicles to the Ministry of Defense and they approved the idea of using them.

“What’s the idea? To form false positions, to be able to deploy three camouflaged vehicles in the corresponding directions, which imitate the work of artillery. At the same time, have some kind of American reconnaissance station and counter-battery artillery somewhere in the corresponding square. The enemy identifies our self-propelled guns, these ones, with a drone, opens fire on them, intercepts the radar, uses the coordinates to determine where the fire is coming from, and the counter-battery artillery destroys the enemy...

The Russians' supply of high-precision weapons is also not unlimited, it is exhaustible. And in this way you can pull out their weapons for such false purposes - let them spend on them than on real ones,” Chmut said.

At the same time, he emphasized that Ukraine, even in the issue of rubber products, is fifteen years behind Russia.

“A special material, I don’t know, like rubber - it’s inflatable. It unfolds quickly, collapses quickly and is very cool there. There are tactical ideas on how this can be applied. Even now in the Armed Forces of Ukraine it is possible to make false positions and lure out the enemy. But the Russians came to this about 15 years ago, in fact. In other countries there are units that do this, and recent conflicts - Syria, Libya, Karabakh, they wonderfully show how important camouflage is and such traps that lure out enemy forces,” the expert said
