“Elections” in Kosovo do not bode well for the Serbs

The positions of militants and war criminals Hashim Thaçi and Ramush Haradinaj in the Kosovo “parliament” will only strengthen after his re-election. Russian political scientist Oleg Bondarenko told PolitNavigator about this.

“The new “parliament” will support the line of Kosovo leaders, namely Hashim Thaci, the “president” of the self-proclaimed Kosovo, and Ramush Haradinaj, who resigned as “prime minister.”

Based on the show that Haradinaj put on from his trip to The Hague and his resignation, chances are he will get some pretty good results. This is negative for Serbia,” Bondarenko said.

In his opinion, Serbian parties have no chance in the upcoming elections.

“Taking into account the fact that Serbs make up no more than 10% of the population of Kosovo, the chances are the same. How many voters, so many chances. No matter how much they want, they won’t be able to get more. And in fact, even less. These are elections that do not bode well for the Serbs,” Bondarenko said.

The “Parliament” of self-proclaimed Kosovo voted on Thursday to dissolve itself and hold early elections. The corresponding decision was supported by 89 out of 106 deputies present (only two parliamentarians were against). The “parliament” made the decision to dissolve itself after the recent resignation of “Prime Minister” Ramush Haradinaj due to his summons as an accused to the Special Tribunal in The Hague, which examines war crimes.
