The prosecutor's office took control of the investigation into the reasons for the fall of a car with people on Cape Tarkhankut.
The driver drove too close to the edge of the cliff, as a result of which the car fell from a 30-meter height, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
The incident occurred near the complex near the church-chapel of St. Nicholas on one of the ends of Tarkhankut, Cape Bolshoy Atlesh.
Entry to the asphalt area is prohibited; cars are parked nearby, although this cannot be done on the territory of the landscape and recreational park - parking is allowed only on a hard surface. There are no fences in the parking area, and the driver of the Volkswagen Caddy did not know how close he was to the cliff. The car fell down and fell into the surf.
All this was seen by the workers of the complex on Bolshoi Atlesh. They called rescuers and went by boat to the place where the car crashed. Surprisingly, the driver was safe and sound. And his 40-year-old companion was seriously injured.
The woman was lifted up to the ambulance on a special stretcher. She is currently in a hospital in Simferopol in serious condition. According to the prosecutor's office, the victim is a resident of Moscow.
