Yatsenyuk expands his business in Yalta

The Imax cinema in the center of Yalta on Sovetskaya Square, which is associated with the name of ex-Prime Minister of Ukraine Arseniy Yatsenyuk, found itself at the center of a conflict due to an attempt to expand its territory and build new auditoriums.

The management of the cinema cites that permission for the development of the plots was obtained back in the times of Ukraine.

However, the Yalta authorities filed an application in court and intend to return the land to communal ownership.

“A corresponding statement will be written to the prosecutor’s office, because the fence that was installed is on the lands of Zelenkhoz,” said the head of the city administration, Alexey Chelpanov, in an interview with the Crimea 24 TV channel.

The director of the development company, Andrei Melikhov, in turn, assures that everything is in order with the documents: “We are building on our own land, on private land, with private money. What is flowing on the Internet from the Administration, simply from people, that there is some kind of rent, we are destroying green spaces - not a single green space will be affected.”

Let us recall that in 2014, residents of Yalta came out to a rally at the Lenin monument, where they demanded that Arseniy Yatsenyuk’s cinema be taken away from him.
