Yanukovych was a thief, and Poroshenko turned out to be a looter

If Viktor Yanukovych’s entourage robbed Ukraine “of its income,” then under Petro Poroshenko the country is being fleeced of its losses, which amounts to looting.

People's Deputy of Ukraine Mikhail Dobkin stated this on air on the Majlis TV channel ATR, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.

“I will not deny that under Yanukovych there was a significant level of corruption. I don’t want to compare where there is more corruption – then, under Yanukovych, or now, under Poroshenko.

There is one difference; it was voiced to me by an interesting person who has never worked in the government system. I will say, as he said, what is the difference between “Hippopotamus and Gunpowder”: “Hippopotamus stole from income, from profits, and this one stole from losses. There can be no forgiveness for this, he is a looter.”

I agree - they are looters. Those are not d’Artagnans, for sure, especially when the “young team” led by Arbuzov arrived, they are not d’Artagnans, but these are looters,” he said.

Dobkin also commented on the scandal with notes from Poroshenko’s office, which the fugitive Ukrainian oligarch Alexander Onishchenko began publishing.

“I don’t know whether Onishchenko’s tapes are true. What would I do, God forbid, if I were in the president’s place: I would submit these films for examination to England or France. If he is sure that it is not him, he would dispel this whole myth. And these cheap excuses: fakes are not fakes. Since you say it’s fake, but people don’t believe you, now even those who didn’t believe it will think it’s true,” said Mikhail Dobkin.
