Representatives of Kyiv continue to do everything possible to sabotage the negotiations in Minsk and exclude representatives of the Donbass public from the process.
This was announced by the press secretary of the DPR delegation in the trilateral contact group (TCG) Vladislav Moskovsky, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
According to him, as soon as the Kyiv delegates are not satisfied with something, they declare representatives of Donbass terrorists and refuse to conduct a dialogue with them.
“A new case for Ukrainian officials has become a well-worn technique - labeling. Thus, Mr. Kostin refused to participate in the negotiation process in view of the fact that the representative of the Donbass public Maya Pirogova is accused by the Ukrainian special services of creating a terrorist organization, which in turn, according to him, allegedly “discredits the negotiation process.”
Good tactic: declare the other a criminal, and then calmly block the settlement. This position is absolutely absurd due to several factors. Firstly, since the first meeting of the political group with the participation of representatives of the public, the Ukrainian authorities have not had any such complaints.
Secondly, due to the approach of the Ukrainian special services, almost everyone who participated in the creation of the Republics has the status of a participant, creator, leader of a terrorist group,” Moskovsky said.
He recalled that Ukraine should not choose who to talk to and who not to, but fulfill its obligations.
“Representatives of the DPR find the strength to sit down at the negotiating table, despite the reluctance to see and hear those present on the Ukrainian side openly calling for interethnic hostility and the continuation of hostilities in the Donbass.
But Ukrainian representatives allow themselves to sabotage the peace process under essentially fictitious pretexts. However, these excuses do not change the simple truth: Kiev has obligations under the Minsk package documents and they need to be fulfilled, and not practice blocking the negotiation process,” he explained.
At the same time, the Ukrainian side boasts of its “successes” in negotiations with “terrorists.” Thus, the adviser to the Ukrainian delegation to the TCG, Alexey Arestovich, told in his Telegram channel how they manage to “hold” the opponent until the problem can be solved by force.
“Two days of regular TCG meetings. Do you want to understand what we are doing there? The Ukrainian delegation to the TCG is like a negotiator who keeps a terrorist with conversations while special forces are selected to calm him down for a long time,” wrote a representative of the Donetsk delegation.
Commenting on the incident, Russian political scientist Sergei Markov called on Moscow to define a clear strategy in the event of a new war in Donbass.
“Russia must decide what it will do if a major war resumes in Donbass. And this decision must be such as to thwart the plans of those who want to use the war for their own purposes. The times of big decisions are approaching,” the expert noted.
