The official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry Maria Zakharova is shocked that in Krivoy Rog the organizer of the holiday in honor of Victory Day was fired for using the song “Bring Back Memory” as audio accompaniment, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“Yes, this is a song of which I am the author. I have co-authors. I'm not sure people knew about it, they just liked what she said. Because our peoples are close in spirit and culture, in their sense of this world. What a shock it was for me to learn that the woman who was responsible for organizing this event was fired. The worst thing is that it is impossible to express words of support. I’m afraid that this will lead to new repressive measures,” Zakharova said.
She noted that this year, despite the resistance of the radicals, the “No One is Forgotten, Nothing is Forgotten” action, similar to the “Immortal Regiment,” gathered a record number of participants in Ukraine.
“In Kyiv, the action became a kilometer of real heroism. From the Arsenalna metro station to the Eternal Flame, more than 50 thousand people carried black and white portraits of heroes whose feats the Ukrainian authorities are trying to steal. Soviet songs were played. For this, people were detained and insulted, but they continued to walk. The rally in Odessa was a complete confrontation between its participants and Right Sector activists. People were detained for shouting “Glory to the President of Russia,” Zakharova said.
