The West and Russia are on the verge of concluding a major agreement - Belkovsky

The West and Russia are on the verge of concluding a major agreement, according to which Crimea remains part of Russia, the DPR and LPR return to Ukraine, and Russian President Vladimir Putin resigns.

Russian liberal political scientist Stanislav Belkovsky stated this on the Internet channel Vlast vs Vlashchenko, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.

“Of course, 13 thousand corpses - certain areas of the Donetsk and Lugansk regions will not return to Ukraine. They will not mentally return to Ukraine. Legally, yes, they can be returned, especially since the issue of a pact between the West and the Russian Federation is now being resolved. This pact, I think, will be concluded because Vladimir Vladimirovich really wants to resign from the presidency next year. And he can only leave on the basis of this pact, because he needs security guarantees,” the expert claims.

According to him, as part of this pact, certain areas of the Donetsk and Lugansk regions will return to the legal control of Ukraine.

“But when your closest relatives were killed, you cannot love those who killed them, regardless of the legal status of what is happening, so I think that everything will not be so simple there... The pact is that Crimea remains to Russia, certain areas of Donetsk and The Lugansk regions are incorporated into Ukraine, the islands are given to Japan, and accordingly, Russia is curtailing certain strategic operations,” Belkovsky said.
