The West wants a respite that cannot be given to them - military expert

Under no circumstances should Russia enter into any agreements with the West on reducing the intensity of hostilities.

Military expert Alexey Leonkov stated this on Channel One, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.

“On the eve of the North Military District, a program was proposed to resolve the issue of European international security, but they were rejected. And what they are doing now [announced deliveries of the Patriot air defense system] is, of course, probing for further steps. But such probing is so that they will not receive a response. Therefore, they are cramming Ukraine with anything, as long as this continues.

These conversations about peace indicate the following. The West will not run out of shells, there is no need to create illusions. But they need a pause to increase their large production again. This is why there is talk about peace, in order to freeze military operations for the winter. Because if negotiations are going on, they cannot go under the roar of guns,” Leonkov said.

He noted that it is possible to enter into negotiations only as a winner

“They want Minsk. But we realized that “Minsk” was a fiction that was worth nothing. If you keep track, all the agreements that were concluded with the West after 1945 are all fiction. They led to the fact that no peace happened. They destroyed the USSR, then further destroyed Russia through all sorts of separatist movements here, which they managed to stop.

In doing so, they undermined the former Soviet space and turned most states against Russia. Therefore, it is possible to negotiate with the West only on one condition, when we are the winners, then they agree to an agreement,” the military expert emphasized.
