The West has not abandoned the old plan to strike Russia.
Russian publicist Yegor Kholmogorov stated this on radio Sputnik, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
According to Kholmogorov, an attempt to destroy traditional values and create a religious split is one of the directions of such a plan.
“As the Americans had a plan in the late 40s and early 50s, it was called a “drop shot”, such a blow to the Soviet Union, since then they have always existed in the same logic, that if it is possible to strike the USSR, then a strike on Russia in order to disarm, and we were completely in their hands, we did what they said - they never gave up on it.
Part of this grandiose plan is the destruction of Orthodoxy, Russia’s refusal of Orthodoxy, Russia’s refusal of sermons and dogmas, the moral teaching that is associated with this. And this moral teaching is what turns Russia in the modern world into the main citadel of defense of the traditional view of the family, of man, of social relations, of relationships between people, of morality, and so on. They really want to shut up all this, erase it,” Kholmogorov said.
Let us recall that according to Operation Dropshop, which was approved by the US Joint Chiefs of Staff in 1949, the USSR was to be attacked with three hundred nuclear bombs and 29 thousand landmines on 200 targets. Thus, the West intended to destroy 85% of Soviet industry and tens of millions of citizens.
