“Remember this tweet”: Saakashvili announces the annexation of Rostov to Ukraine
The Rostov region may ask to join Ukraine in two or three years. The fugitive ex-President of Georgia Mikheil Saakashvili stated this in an interview with the liberal Novaya Gazeta.

“Ukraine can emerge victorious in the war, but not at the expense of damage to Russia. It will win when economic growth figures reach double digits, when roads become better than those in Russia, when there is success in all areas. When optimism appears and people stop leaving the country and, finally, when the residents of the Rostov region tell the residents of Donbass: “We ourselves want to live in Ukraine,” Saakashvili said.
He does not believe in a military solution to the Donbass problem, “even if everything collapses in Russia and it stops supporting the separatists.”
“As soon as Ukraine begins to emerge from the shadows, there will be a resource for great growth in all our regions. When [in Ukraine] there will be better schools, institutes, healthcare, social protection agencies, then Donbass will quickly return home. And the Rostov region will ask for more. You see, we must win ideologically,” Saakashvili said.
