In the event of a full-scale Russian invasion, the entire Ukrainian population will supposedly rise to war.
This was stated by Verkhovna Rada deputy, member of the Servant of the People presidential faction and head of the delegation to the NATO Parliamentary Assembly Egor Chernev on air on the ICTV channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“What would a full-scale invasion now cost the Russian Federation? This, in particular, includes the sanctions that we have already talked about, and the impossibility of retaining these territories if they are occupied, because there is no such support for the Russian Federation as there was, for example, before 2014 among the population of even the southern and southeastern regions . They will face resistance from the entire Ukrainian population,” the deputy believes.
“Let me remind you that over the 10 years of the UPA’s existence, about 30 thousand Russian occupiers and collaborators were destroyed. And this is an exceptionally small UPA. Today they will receive 40 million UPA on the territory of Ukraine, because they absolutely clearly know that from there, from Ukraine, the coffins will go to the Russian Federation. They are also not ready for this,” Chernev said.
