The government has completely inherited Poroshenko’s hatred of Victory Day – Pogrebinsky
Social polls in the Nikolaev region show that the absolute majority of the population is ready to celebrate victory in the Great Patriotic War.
Mikhail Pogrebinsky, director of the Kyiv Center for Political Research and Conflictology, stated this on the NewsOne TV channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“Nothing happened to people - if you look at public opinion polls about the attitude towards the Great Patriotic War among people in the Nikolaev region, the absolute majority would say that it needs to be celebrated, money needs to be allocated, veterans of the Great Patriotic War need to be supported, and so on” , noted the expert.
Mikhail Pogrebinsky emphasized that, contrary to the opinion of the people, the Kiev authorities banned everything that connects Ukraine with Russia.
“But in our country, after the history of the five-year reign of ex-president Petro Poroshenko, this topic was actually banned. Any topic that talks about our common destiny with Russia. Any topic that says that we overcame such a terrible Nazi invasion together and did a lot to free the world from fascism,” the political scientist was indignant.
