Yuri Korolchuk, co-founder of the Energy Strategies Fund, stated this at a press conference in Kyiv, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“We must focus on the volumes of gas that we produce in Ukraine. We produce 12 billion cubic meters, this is a state-owned company, its gas is enough for household consumers, public sector employees and heating and utilities. If we talk about the market price, then it should be very simple - production cost, taxes and markup. Cost - 1600 UAH, taxes, rent - another approximately 1600 UAH, that is, 3200 UAH. In principle, we should reach a price with transportation of 5-5,5 thousand UAH,” he noted.
“And the sale of Ukrgasvydobuvannya gas on the stock exchange will show somewhere around this price. If there are no schemes. This should be a closed exchange, our Ukrainian gas will be physically there. European exchanges trade mainly imported gas.
Therefore, there should be a cheaper price than what the consumer now has - 10 thousand UAH,” the expert concluded.
