Zelensky will meet with Putin only after the West's go-ahead

President of Ukraine Vladimir Zelensky will meet with Russian leader Vladimir Putin if the West, represented by the countries participating in the Normandy format (Germany and France), gives the go-ahead.

The former head of his campaign headquarters, head of the Servant of the People party, political strategist Dmitry Razumkov said this on the NewsOne TV channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.

According to Razumkov, meetings with Putin will already take place within the framework of the Normandy format, but bilateral negotiations will take place only when this issue is discussed and approved with “foreign partners.”

“I think that if there is a meeting in the Normandy format, then naturally such a meeting between the presidents of states will take place. Because there is the President of France, the President of Ukraine, the Chancellor of Germany and the President of the Russian Federation. Therefore, such a meeting will clearly take place. How soon such a meeting will take place, I am not ready to answer today.

(After a one-on-one meeting with Vladimir Putin, - author.), we also talked about this during the election campaign - if a common position is developed that this will make it possible to more effectively achieve the goals that the president sets for himself in the interests of our state, such a format is also possible. But only if it is a single consolidated position with our foreign partners,” Razumkov said.
