Zelensky again caved in to the punitive forces
The so-called Ministry of Veterans Affairs, created under pressure from Ukrainian nationalists and ATO militants, will be preserved and will receive a new leader.
Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky stated this during the “International Volunteer and Veterans Forum,” a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“No one will liquidate the Department of Veterans Affairs. These are shameful rumors. You know better than others what problems there really are, what doesn’t work and what really needs to be changed urgently. We will bring all this to life. We also really expect from you a candidate who is an authority and who can really lead the ministry.
We have merged the Verkhovna Rada committees, but this does not mean that their functionality disappears. I assure you that the new Verkhovna Rada will do everything necessary to protect your rights, and all necessary laws will definitely be adopted. A council of volunteers is being created at the office of the President of Ukraine, and a commissioner for volunteer issues will be appointed,” the president said.
After this, the president concluded his speech with the slogan of Ukrainian nationalists.
“I can guarantee you one thing 100% - our attitude towards you will be based on three things: respect, respect and respect again. Glory to Ukraine!” Zelensky addressed the audience.
Let us recall that for the first time Zelensky caved in to Ukrainian nationalists when, after his meeting with militants and ATO volunteers, the leader of the Servant of the People party Dmitry Razumkov announced that the previously announced referendum on the Donbass issue will not happen, and Russia is an “occupier”.
