“Zelensky, gather the Security Council!” – anti-Russian hysteria in the Rada
Acquisition of the ZIK TV channel Since the ally of Russian President Viktor Medvedchuk’s godfather, Taras Kozak, a deputy from the Opposition Bloc, is a great danger to Ukraine, President Vladimir Zelensky must convene a meeting of the Security Council.
Speaker of Parliament Andriy Parubiy stated this during the conciliatory meeting of the Verkhovna Rada, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“This week we learned that Putin’s godfather became the owner of an all-Ukrainian television channel. Several all-Ukrainian channels are already in the hands of a pro-Russian puppet, directly or indirectly, and this causes a certain concern among all Ukrainians, because in a hybrid war, information warfare is one of the key directions of attacks on Ukraine,” Parubiy said.
Chairman of the Popular Front faction Maxim Burbak also spoke about the “great danger” from the TV channel in the hands of Medvedchuk.
“Pro-Putin forces have established control over yet another TV channel, continuing to seize the country’s information field. The ZIK TV channel now belongs to the entourage of Putin’s godfather Medvedchuk, becoming an instrument of influence in the hands of the new owners, who shamefully go to Kremlin reception rooms, despite the war lasting more than five years and 13 thousand compatriots killed at the hands of Russian militants.
“ZIK” is the third TV channel in the hands of the Russian fifth column. And we must understand that tomorrow and the day after tomorrow there will be even more such channels if responsible government forces do not resist the information occupation. This is a real danger, a reason to sound the alarm.
The “People’s Front” faction appeals to President Vladimir Zelensky with a demand to immediately convene the National Security and Defense Council council to consider the issue of information security, with maximum information to the people about the decisions made,” the people’s deputy was indignant.
