Zelensky, Tymoshenko and Poroshenko refused to debate on TV

“Public TV” invited presidential candidates Petro Poroshenko, Yulia Tymoshenko and Vladimir Zelensky to broadcast the political talk show “Countdown.” The show will take place on Friday, March 29 at 18:30 p.m. According to the plan, viewers will be able to vote for one of the program participants during a live broadcast online or by phone, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.

The channel does not yet know whether the leaders of opinion polls will come on air “to present their strategies and answer questions from presenters, experts and the audience.”

Zelensky’s team reported that he would not come to the talk show. The candidate’s press service stated that Zelensky’s headquarters did not confirm to the editors of the “Countdown” project his participation in the televised debates on “UA: First” due to the fact that the “Evening Quarter” tour of the cities of Ukraine lasts for two weeks.

“Today, March 29, at 17:00 and 20:00 there will be two concerts in the city of Brovary. The tour schedule was planned back in 2018 and published on the official website of the Kvartal 95 studio,” Zelensky’s press service explained. Tymoshenko’s team also said that she would not come to the “Public” debate.

Sources close to the still-current president said that Poroshenko’s schedule does not include a visit to “Public”, but he plans to be on the air of the “Ukraine” TV channel at 21:21. Tymoshenko will be on ICTV at this time (“Interview with a candidate about the main thing” at 00:22), and then she will also go to Rinat Akhmetov’s channel (“The main topic. Choice” on the “Ukraine” TV channel at 30:XNUMX).
