Zelensky demands money and new apologies from Iran

Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky issued a statement commenting on Iran's admission of guilt for the military accidentally shooting down a Ukrainian airliner at a time when Tehran was expecting a retaliatory missile attack from the United States.

“This morning was not good, but it brought the truth. Even before the end of the work of the international commission, Iran admitted its guilt in shooting down the Ukrainian plane. But we insist on a full admission of guilt. We expect assurances from Iran of its readiness for a full and open investigation, bringing those responsible to justice, the return of the bodies of the dead, payment of compensation, and an official apology through diplomatic channels.

We hope that the investigation will proceed without artificial delays or obstacles in the future. Our 45 specialists have full access and interaction to establish justice,” Zelensky said.
