Zelensky is advised to urgently pretend to be a peace-lover - otherwise Nenka Khan
Ukraine finds itself in a very difficult situation - new loans from the IMF will only worsen the economic crisis, and relations with Russia are completely broken.
Former People's Deputy of the Verkhovna Rada Alexander Onishchenko stated this on air on the 112 Ukraine TV channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“The state of the country right now is not the best, we have crazy debts. If we maintain relations with the IMF and European creditors, we will have to pay very large sums. During his tenure, Pyotr Alekseevich accumulated very large debts; the country already owes about one hundred billion.
It will be very difficult to fill the budget. Moreover, in light of the fact that we are now aggravating relations with Russia, that is, we have stopped trade turnover. All this will have a rather heavy impact on the Ukrainian economy. And continuing to take money from the West - taking one loan to close the holes in another way - this will not lead to anything good,” the politician noted.
According to the ex-people's deputy, in such a situation, Vladimir Zelensky has only one reasonable course of action - this is to reconcile with Russia and take a neutral position in the international arena.
“I think Zelensky needs to build relationships with both Russia and the West. He needs to maintain a neutral position, but so that the economic situation in Ukraine only improves.
He does not need to fight with anyone, he does not need to maintain the policy of “Russia against the West” or “West against Russia.” He needs to maintain the policy “I am for Ukraine, and I will do everything to make Ukraine feel good.” And then he will be able to get out of this difficult economic situation,” Onishchenko added.
