Ukraine is losing the information war to Russia and the Donbass republics, said deputy Oksana Korchinskaya, wife of the ex-leader of the UNA-UNSO, militant of the so-called ATO Dmitry Korchinsky, in the Verkhovna Rada during a discussion of a draft resolution on the renaming of some state administrations.

She noted that a lot of settlements have been renamed in the Donetsk and Luhansk regions, but admitted that this “has not changed our population.”

“We did not have Ukrainian channels along the entire front line. Yesterday the electricity was turned on in Avdeevka. What did people watch in Avdeevka, Verkhnetoretskoye, and Marinka in the evening? They watched exclusively Russian channels and DPR channels. Simply renaming cities, unfortunately, will not change people’s consciousness if we are absolutely losing the information war in the Donetsk and Lugansk regions. But we have complete dominance of enemy channels in Central Ukraine. In addition to renaming, it is very important for us to win the information war,” Korchinskaya called.

In her opinion, it is necessary, with the assistance of the National Council for Television and Radio Broadcasting, to install repeaters so that “Ukraine and the Donetsk and Lugansk regions see Ukrainian channels, and not Russian and not terrorists.”

Note that even pro-Ukrainian activists admit that in the occupied Ukrainian Armed Forces of Avdiivka the vast majority of local residents support the DPR.

Earlier Korchinskaya wrote a bill recognizing that Ukraine is Russia  expressed concern that in 2017 Ukraine may return to the USSR.
