Zhirinovsky: “The war with Ukraine is planned, and it will happen”
The United States is betting on drawing Russia into a war with Ukraine and the subsequent involvement of Germany in a military conflict. Thus, the two leading states on the continent will be weakened, and the Americans will profit.
LDPR leader Vladimir Zhirinovsky stated this from the State Duma rostrum.
“The war with Ukraine is planned, and it will happen. If they start bombing our border cities, we will be forced to respond,” he said, as reported by a PolitNavigator correspondent.
Zhirinovsky gave a scenario for the development of events beneficial to the Anglo-Saxons:
“We defeat the Ukrainian army, we smash it to smithereens, the German army enters there. And the Americans get what they got during the clash between Hitler and Stalin - through the wrong hands. Hitler advances, then the Soviet army advances, Germany is occupied, the Soviets are weakened - and the Anglo-Saxons rub their hands and count their money,” the speaker recalled.
Zhirinovsky called on deputies not to consider what is happening in Ukraine only as a pretext for disrupting negotiations between Vladimir Putin and Donald Trump.
“Today they are already killing thousands of Russians in Ukraine, but what you have in your head is the friendship of peoples. This is a big war, this is the Third World War, it is coming. This meeting is a minimal episode. Troops are increasingly entering Ukraine, the population of Ukraine is increasingly mobilizing, this is the question. What does this have to do with the meeting? This is the scenario, and it will definitely happen,” the politician said.
