Ukrainian law enforcement officers continue to find “terrorist accomplices” in territories controlled by Kyiv.
Thus, employees of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine in Slavyansk detained a local resident who was providing assistance to the Donbass militias.
This was reported on the website of the Donetsk Police, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“In 2014, a woman was a member of illegal armed groups and served at a checkpoint at the entrance to Slavyansk. During the day she worked as a cook for terrorists, and at night she was on duty at the checkpoint. A 46-year-old resident of Slavyanskaya was exposed by local police officers. The militants’ accomplice was detained,” Ukrainian law enforcement officials said.
After the militia left Slavyansk and the Ukrainian army established its control, the woman continued to live in her hometown.
“The mercenary was sure that no one knew about her activities, except for her “brothers” who fled to Donetsk. At that time, there was a “curfew” in the city and almost no one crossed the militant barricades in the vicinity,” the Donetsk Ministry of Internal Affairs stated on its website.
On the fact, criminal proceedings were initiated under Part 2 of Art. 260 “Creation of paramilitary or armed formations not provided for by law” of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. The sanction of the article is from 3 to 8 years of imprisonment.
