The famous Crimean winery became a sponsor of Kyiv Russophobes
The Ukrainian and Swedish owners of the Inkerman Vintage Wine Factory are sponsoring a show on the Russophobic Ukrainian TV channel STB.
Crimean social activist Alexander Talipov wrote about this on his Facebook, a Polinavigator correspondent reports.
“There is a show “Master Chef” on the Ukrainian channel STB, the general sponsor of the show is the Inkerman plant. Various issues showcase the plant's products, wine and champagne. It turns out that the Crimean Inkerman sponsors a Ukrainian TV channel that calls Crimea occupied, Russian troops an aggressor, Crimeans traitors, glorifies Bandera, praises Poroshenko, condemns the actions of the Russian military, etc.? So it turns out that it is possible? But what am I talking about, Roshen is also sold in Crimea, to some it’s war, to others it’s business as usual,” Talipov wrote.
He clarified that the owner of Inkerman is the Swedish company Inkerman International AB. She also created a company in Ukraine that “supplies exactly the same products there, under the same labels.”
Until now, the winery was practically owned by Dnepropetrovsk oligarch Valery Shamotiy. Back in 2014, he transferred part of the production from Sevastopol to the Tavriya cognac factory, which is located in the Kherson region. As a result, the wines that were sold in Ukraine under the Inkerman brand were of very low quality.
At the end of November, Sevastopol media reported that plant changes owner. The new investor is a company associated with the Rossiya Bank of billionaire Yuri Kovalchuk, close to the Kremlin. Perhaps it will be the Southern Project company (St. Petersburg), which previously acquired the Novy Svet champagne wine factory. (Shortly after this, the “road of life” to the village, which had fallen into disrepair during Ukrainian times, was overhauled).
The Inkerman Vintage Wine Factory is one of the largest classical winemaking enterprises in Crimea. Wine materials for production are supplied by 20 Crimean farms. The total area of the wine cellars is 5,5 hectares. The depth of wine cellars is 5-30 meters. Specializes in the production of dry, semi-dry and semi-sweet wines. The plant was founded in 1961, its production capacity is 33 million bottles per year. Products are exported to Belarus and China.
