1300 US armored vehicles delivered to the EU for transfer to Poland and the Baltic states

In the Dutch port of Vlissingen, 1275 units of various American armored vehicles were unloaded, which will go to Poland and Lithuania, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.

According to media reports, we are talking about Abrams tanks, Bradley infantry fighting vehicles and M109 Paladin 155 mm self-propelled artillery mounts. The military armies of the Netherlands took part in the unloading of weapons. Major Paul Ehrismann told reporters that the US armored vehicles were delivered as part of NATO's Operation Atlantic Resolve. We are talking about the next tranches of military support so-called. NATO's eastern flankin response to Russia's actions in the East».

Local commentators note that the landing at Vlissingen marks the beginning of the relocation to Europe of the 2nd Armored Brigade, 1st Cavalry Division, from Fort Hood, Texas. Most of the equipment and troops of this brigade should be delivered to Poland and Lithuania.

Apparently, this is precisely why the Polish authorities are so easily parting with their own armored vehicles, having first transferred to Kyiv the modernized T-72 tanks and self-propelled guns Krab, and now promising German tanks Leopard. Another question is whether the Americans will want to participate in real hostilities if they move to Polish territory.

Как reported “PolitNavigator”, Polish President Andrzej Duda announced on January 11 the transfer of 14 German Leopard tanks to Ukraine.
