American expert: “There hasn’t been such a serious situation in Bosnia since the 90s”

US security expert, member of the International Independent Commission of Inquiry into the Suffering of All Peoples in the Srebrenica Region, Stephen Meyer, believes that the actions of the past High Representative for BiH have finally divided the Serbs and Bosniaks.

This was reported by RTRS, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.

In the announcement of a TV show on the state television channel of Republika Srpska - RTRS, which will be broadcast tomorrow, Meyer concludes that the former High Representative for BiH Valentin Inzko introduced changes in the country's Criminal Code, criminalizing denial of the “Srebrenica genocide” in response to the conclusion of the Independent International Commission of Inquiry into the suffering of all peoples in the Srebrenica region from 1992 to 1995.

Let us recall that the commission came to the conclusionthat there was no genocide in Srebrenica, and that mutual violence in the region was provoked by the punitive actions of Bosniak-Islamist armed groups.

The "Inzko Law" led to an even greater division between Bosniaks and Serbs. I think it is quite possible that this law, if implemented, and especially if sanctions are imposed against Serbian leaders from the Republika Srpska, could lead the Republika Srpska to independence. “I believe that the situation is as serious as it has not been since the 90s,” says Stephen Meyer.
