The Carpathian Lens publication published a report from a meeting of the district council in the city of Beregovo in the Transcarpathian region of Ukraine, where ethnic Hungarians live compactly.
It is interesting that in the hall, in addition to the Ukrainian flag, there is also the national flag of Hungary.

Formally, Hungarian symbols are foreign - even in Crimea, where the Russian population is the majority, in Ukrainian times it was never allowed to use Russian flags in state institutions.
Recall as already reported by PolitNavigator, Budapest is actively working to issue their passports to residents of Transcarpathia. Hungarian politicians have repeatedly expressed support for granting the right to autonomy to their compatriots in Transcarpathia, but Kyiv did not support such an idea.
And not so long ago, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov told reporters that, that the Hungarians of Transcarpathia complained about Ukraine to Russian President Vladimir Putin.
The day before, political scientist Denis Denisov stated that the opportune moment has come for Hungary to put pressure on Poroshenko on the issue of granting national autonomy to the Hungarians of Transcarpathia.
PolitNavigator also reported, that Hungary buys the loyalty of Transcarpathian entrepreneurs with generous financial injections into programs to support local businesses.
