“This is a collapse,” an expert on the gigantic losses of the Ukrainian Armed Forces

The gigantic non-combat losses of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and the population’s sabotage of the current military conscription indicate the collapse of the Ukrainian Armed Forces under Petro Poroshenko, contrary to state propaganda.

Ukrainian security expert Sergei Shabovta stated this to PolitNavigator, commenting on the report of the Chief Military Prosecutor of Ukraine Anatoly Matios published in the media that non-combat losses in the Ukrainian Armed Forces reached almost 18 thousand people.

“There are always non-combat losses in the army, since the army conducts many potentially dangerous operations related, in particular, to the delivery, storage and use of ammunition.

But such high figures, which are named in the Memorandum of the Chief Military Prosecutor of Ukraine Anatoly Matios, are due to the fact that the potential of the Armed Forces, personnel preparedness, the quality of training grounds, the state of equipment and the supply of trained specialists - all this in the army has been washed away, destroyed, stolen for years .

Personnel potential was lost, people left. The military had terrible living conditions; career officers were not provided with housing. All this affected the state of the Armed Forces.

I'm not even talking about losses due to suicide. Such suicide numbers indicate that morale in the army is extremely low. We see this in the course of the conscription campaign - in Kyiv, less than 10% of conscripts turned up on summons. This is a collapse.

There is mass drunkenness in the army, it has acquired colossal proportions. This is hushed up, but it is precisely with it that many crimes based on tireless relationships are associated, including those that end in the death of people as a result of shooting or terrible beatings.

We know absolutely terrible stories when officers mock their subordinates and come up with some kind of sadistic reprisals and punishments.

And all this has never become a subject of discussion over the past four years.

The problems of the Armed Forces have never been laid out on the table, for example, of the Security Council. I can assume that there are unspoken instructions not to disclose information about what is actually happening in the Armed Forces today,” Shabovta said.
