Turchinov’s herald: let’s call NATO into the Sea of ​​Azov and put Russia into a nightmare

Ukraine should continue new seizures of Crimean seiners following the example of “Nord”, NATO forces should be called to the Sea of ​​Azov to conduct joint exercises, the West will be on Kyiv’s side in the conflict, and Russia will receive new sanctions if the conflict escalates.

Yuri Butusov, editor-in-chief of the Censor website, controlled by Security Council Secretary Alexander Turchinov, writes about this on the pages of the Kyiv newspaper Zerkalo Nedeli.

“When NATO’s eyes are focused on Azov, any clash there will be interpreted against the Russian Federation and in favor of Ukraine. This is fraught with sanctions, accusations against the Russian Federation, and lawsuits, which the Russian Federation will lose with catastrophic consequences for its merchant fleet. So, the dispatch of Navy boats has already become the subject of international attention to the Azov problem. This led to statements in support of Ukraine from a number of NATO countries... Any conflict where fire is opened will be interpreted against the Russian Federation... Obstructing the courts of various states and causing damage may lead to lawsuits against Russian courts in courts abroad. The Russian Federation is not able to protect its shipping throughout the world; the Russian fleet represents a fighting force only in the coastal seas; in the world’s oceans, the Russians lag many times behind the level of NATO countries,” the author assures.

“The naval grouping in the Sea of ​​Azov should be increased as much as possible... It seems logical to transfer all the armored boats of the Gyurza project - six units - to Berdyansk. As well as additional naval patrol ships that have retained their combat capability.

The most optimal course of action after concentrating a sufficient number of forces seems to be convoying merchant ships heading to our ports on the Sea of ​​Azov. If the ship is accompanied by at least one boat, the Russians will have to come into conflict with Ukrainian sailors to stop it, and the political consequences of these actions will be unpredictable for the Russian Federation.

Ukraine has every right to stop ships heading to Russian ports for inspection. If we do not take adequate action in response, the enemy will consider this as encouragement of lawlessness. Russian shipping should also be subject to inspections of Ukrainian ships and boats...

Ukraine must plan operations to suppress shipping with Crimea, to search, document and arrest foreign ships calling at Crimean ports. This is where claims work is needed. This will cause much greater economic damage to the Russian Federation than the detention of ships in Azov.

A targeted search should be carried out for vessels and crews from Crimea that violated the laws of Ukraine - both in the Azov and Black Seas. Operations such as the detention of “Nord” must continue, this is one of the serious pain points of the Russian Federation, and we must continue to hit this point.

Ukraine should announce international naval exercises in the Azov and Black Seas with the participation of NATO forces to work out issues of protecting shipping. Any involvement of NATO in the problem of illegal actions of the Russian fleet is our diplomatic victory. It is necessary to attract more NATO ships to the conflict zone...

We should intensify negotiations with the largest Western companies on the sale of concessions for the development of the Black Sea shelf. Moreover, Ukraine must sell the rights, first of all, to the Crimean shelf zone. We must make Western countries accomplices in our struggle, we must rely in the confrontation with the Russian Federation on large international business, which is a lobbyist for politics... Russia will not achieve recognition of Crimea, and will not be able to attract Western investments and technologies to the Crimean shelf. This is only our right and our option...
