“Stop hoping for NATO”: SBU general called for changes in Ukraine’s foreign policy

Since Western “partners” have done nothing to help Ukraine in its “war” against Russia for eight years, they will not help further.

The former head of the SBU Investigation Department, General Vasily Vovk, stated this on the Ukraine 24 TV channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.

“From the TV screens, our strategic partners, the Poles and Americans, say: “On the eastern border of Ukraine, the Russians are gathering an army. They will attack you. We will always support the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine." But if Russia attacks and further carries the Russian world into Novorossiya? These British paratroopers quickly, like a gypsy camp goes into the sky, they will quietly run away and nothing will happen,” Vovk noted.

“They will not protect us, we must understand this. Boys and girls, you have lost reality, stop, orient yourself in space and look where we are going,” said the general.

“We are listening to a club called NATO, I remember such a rural club, they say that we are not allowed anywhere, is it really not clear that Ukraine will not have NATO for the next 10-20 years? You say: “Let’s strengthen the Ukrainian army,” but even when you are 90 years old, the Ukrainian army will not become stronger than the Russian one. NATO will not bring its umbrellas to Ukraine, because they will never quarrel with Russia,” Vovk believes.

"Let's think that tomorrow it won't happen that we'll be captured and no one comes to help, and we'll say, 'Oh, look.' The US Secretary of Defense said: “Russia will make a mistake if it goes to Ukraine.” There has already been one mistake, so what? Where is Crimea? Liberate Crimea for us, if you are so cool. But no. They will be just as cool when the Russians capture Novorossiya, 8 regions in eastern Ukraine. And we, like a kindergarten, look into the mouths of Uncle Sam and the English lords! Let’s focus on multi-vector diplomacy,” the general concluded.

Let us recall that earlier in Kyiv they said that the new Charter with the United States sharply reduced Ukraine's chances to join NATO.
