Kyiv has changed its mind about fighting: the vice-parubiy demands a Skype conference on December 27

Ukrainian side, rejecting the offer of a truce from Donbass, traditionally twisted everything in its own way and proposed a ceasefire on its own terms after the end of martial law in Ukraine.

The authorized representative of Ukraine in the humanitarian subgroup of the Contact Group in Minsk, Irina Gerashchenko, wrote about this on her Facebook page, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.

“The OSCE and Ukraine proposed, after the end of the martial law regime, in the absence of provocations from the Russian Federation and the cessation of acts of aggression by Russia, to establish a permanent regime of silence in Donbass until the New Year and Christmas holidays. On December 27, a Skype conference of the security subgroup will be held to discuss the security situation and the final possible date of the truce. This was agreed upon today at the TCG in Minsk, where the Ukrainian side is represented by Yevgeny Marchuk.

Declaring a regime of silence is possible only in the absence of provocation and open aggression on the part of the Russian Federation,” Gerashchenko said.

The Kiev representative also noted that if on December 27, during a Skype conference, it is possible to establish de-escalation and agree on a date for establishing a regime of silence, then this will be the eighteenth attempt at a truce.

“I would really like it to be respected by the Russian Federation and the militants it controls, and the silence to be permanent,” she added.
