The leader of the pro-Western opposition welcomed the increased pressure on Serbia

Oligarch and one of the leaders of the pro-Western “Union for Serbia” boycotting the elections, Dragan Djilas, attacked Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic for cooperation with China and cited post-Maidan North Macedonia as a positive example.

The oppositionist stated this to the Beta agency, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.

Oligarch Djilas began his interview with the Beta agency by saying that “there will be no democratic elections in Serbia until free media appear,” forgetting that he was talking with one of the completely freely functioning pro-Western media.

“The boycott has already brought a lot of benefits when it comes to the world’s attitude towards Serbia,” Djilas commented to the agency on the expediency of the boycott of local and parliamentary elections by the “Union for Serbia,” from which several parties emerged that decided to participate in the political struggle. “He contributed to the fact that two of the three largest parliamentary factions in the European Parliament declared that there is no democracy and conditions for fair and free elections in Serbia. The boycott helps continue European pressure to hold free elections, reduce tensions in society and end mutual hatred."

Next, the pro-Western oligarch personally attacked President Aleksandar Vucic for working closely with China instead of becoming a puppet of the EU.

“Vučić has clearly shown that his first priority is not Europe, but China, whose flag he loves,” Djilas said. – Every Serb can only love the flag of Serbia! He took billions of euros in loans from China, and the Western world cannot even say a word against it!” Djilas complained.

At the same time, one of the leaders of the “Union for Serbia” made a forecast that the current Serbian “government, under pressure from Europe and the world, will still have to stop strangling democracy.”

“There cannot be a country in Europe where this is acceptable. Macedonia a few years ago was very similar to Serbia, but today it is a completely different country,” added one of the leaders of the pro-Western Union for Serbia.

The most interesting thing is that several years ago, with the help of the United States, the EU and George Soros, Macedonia had its own Maidan, as a result of which the pro-Western alliance of the Social Democratic Union of Macedonia and the parties of the active Albanian minority came to power.

The result of this coup was repression of patriots, the renaming of the country to North Macedonia, which was not supported by the Slavic majority, the coming to power of former terrorists in Albanian municipalities, recognition of the Albanian language as a state language, entry into NATO and the first gay pride parade. However, according to expert estimated, the Maidan elite is so unpopular with the majority of Macedonians that the conservative political opposition may come to power in the next elections.

According to a recent ranking again, the opposition magazine “New Serbian Political Thought”, the election bloc of the Serbian president “Aleksandar Vučić - For our children!” supported by 62,4% of Serbian voters, the pro-Western Union for Serbia boycotting the elections is supported by only 7,1%.
