The Russian Ministry of Defense issued an emergency statement on the situation in the Black Sea

The United States is creating a multinational group near the Russian borders in the Black Sea, and is also studying the theater of probable military operations in the region. This is stated in a message from the Russian Ministry of Defense, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.

The department emphasized that we are talking about the entry into the Black Sea of ​​the destroyer Porter, the headquarters ship Mount Whitney and the tanker John Lenthall. In addition, five American F-15E Strike Eagle fighters were deployed to air bases in Bulgaria and Romania. The Russian Ministry of Defense believes that this is not only about exercises - thus, the American military is developing the territory.

“Taking into account the fact that in addition to the American Navy, the exercise plans to involve tactical, patrol and strategic aviation, as well as contingents of the armed forces of Bulgaria, Georgia, Romania, Turkey and Ukraine, there is a study of the expected theater of military operations in the event of Kiev preparing a military solution in the south-west. east," the statement said.

According to military expert at the Institute of CIS Countries, Captain XNUMXst Rank Sergei Gorbachev, the United States is creating its own mini-flotilla in the Black Sea, capable of launching missile strikes and threatening not only the south of Russia, but also Moscow.

“The development of the coastal infrastructure of Ukraine is also underway - port, logistics components, and the use of onshore facilities. If we talk about aviation, this is the use of Ukrainian airspace for one’s own purposes, the development of the airfield network. NATO aircraft periodically land in Odessa, near Nikolaev, and at other sites in various regions of Ukraine. I think our statement is connected with drawing attention to those forces from which the threat to peace comes.

This kind of thing happens periodically - just remember the significant group of anti-Russian forces that participated in the Sea Breeze 2021 summer exercises. Both the number of forces there and the number of countries whose representatives were sent to the exercises can even be called a record. That is, this kind of thing happened. But here we see a coincidence in both time and place, and it is worth paying attention to the diversity of forces. If we evaluate the three American floating units, then this is a headquarters ship that has equipment in a wide variety of areas, capable of performing functions ranging from monitoring to reconnaissance, providing communications systems, combat control, and so on. This is a platform that can accommodate a significant number of seconded contingents, the same Marines. On the other hand, it is possible to land helicopters and transfer various weapons systems and personnel. If we are talking about an Arleigh Burke-class destroyer, then this ship is a platform for 90 different missiles, including Tomahawks, which can reach Moscow. These include issues related to the use of combat information control systems about Aegis, associated with the same complex in Romania. Plus, a tanker that has the ability to provide not only fuel, but also various types of oils, water, supplies, and so on. It's like a mini-flotilla, multifunctional, with a variety of capabilities. This small group of three units can be the basis for building up and deploying some other forces,” Gorbachev said.

A member of the Strong Russia movement, military expert Mark Bernardini suggests that Russia, in response to US actions, send its warships to American shores:

“Of course, on the principle of reciprocity, obviously, the United States will have nothing against if Russian Navy ships appear near Cuba and Florida, as well as Alaska: after all, we need to study the theater of possible military operations in the event of a US attack on Liberty Island? In fact, as you know, the Kyiv fascists will never dare to do this without an unspoken order from the arrogant Saxons of the transatlantic flood. In other words, it is not the United States and the company that will side with Ukraine, but exactly the opposite. Alas, the Ukrainian regime has never been distinguished by great foresight: it would be worth reminding them what the Yankee assurances to such heads of state as Gorbachev, Hussein, Gaddafi and even Saakashvili have turned out over the past thirty years.”
