In the zone of the punitive operation in Donbass, while strengthening their positions, two Ukrainian servicemen were blown up by a mine.

“The hasty decisions of the Ukrainian command inevitably led to non-combat losses of personnel. Thus, in violation of safety requirements, today two militants of the 24th brigade blew themselves up with their own ammunition while carrying out engineering work to deepen trenches for military equipment,” the report says.
As a result of the explosion, one Ukrainian died on the spot. His colleague was taken to the Popasnyansky central district hospital and his left leg was amputated. The wounded man's condition is assessed as serious.
