The decision to recognize the Ukrainian authorities after 2014 was a mistake, as was maintaining economic ties with Kiev, which continues to receive critical goods from the Russian Federation under various schemes. All this corrupts the Bandera regime, which continues to kill people in Donbass, counting on Moscow’s continued non-interference.

Guests of the studio spoke about this on air on the Rossiya 1 TV channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.

During the skirmish over history with a child killed by a shelldropped from a Ukrainian Armed Forces drone, TV presenter Olga Skabeeva asked the Ukrainian expert what they, Ukraine, want?

“We want peace,” responded Ukrainian economist Alexander Okhrimenko.

“Why did they kill the child, you bastards?” – asked the presenter.

“There is a tragedy, but I draw your attention to the fact that on social networks the residents of this village give completely different information,” Okhrimenko objected. – They don’t write about the drone. They report that it is really unclear, an investigation is needed, an independent investigation, because this is only an opinion. So you say, why isn’t Europe indignant? Yes, Europe doesn’t trust the DPR, how can you trust the separatists?”

Next, Kiev lawyer Tatyana Montyan, who had attended the boy’s funeral the day before, spoke in the studio via video link from Donetsk.

“I was at the funeral, I talked with relatives, I talked with people from the ritual service who were preparing the remains of the body for burial - what was left of the unfortunate child. Relatives said that the grandmother hesitated, and the child ran out, and was immediately hit from above.

The traces left in the middle of the yard indicate that there was a 360-degree spread there, which means that some kind of ammunition actually flew from above. People report hearing the sound of a drone. This is what they say, and the funeral service employee said that both legs were torn off, an arm was torn off, the head was torn apart, one of the legs was never found. They were buried, naturally, in a closed coffin.

Everyone saw the funeral, I reported from there. The relatives really wanted people to know how their child died. That's why I testify to this everywhere. I promised them this at the cemetery at the grave of their dead child,” Montyan said.

“Why do the authorities of your country react this way - not at all, to the story of the deceased Ukrainian?” – asked presenter Evgeny Popov.

“Yes, because they don’t care, not only about this child, but about all the other children,” the lawyer answered. “They methodically shoot people along the front line. I’ve been traveling along the front line for two months, through villages, including completely Ukrainian villages, and everywhere people say that their own people are shooting at us, killing us. Just while I’m here, several people were shot.”

“Nobody gives a damn about this, including Russia, because - “I shake hands, hug” – you continue to collaborate with this Nazi regime, which was recognized after the revolution. So why don't they shoot at these people? They are happy with life, you don’t interfere, you cooperate with them. These are your “friends and partners” - both Western and the Kyiv authorities you cooperate with. Everything is fine with you, but the people on the contact line don’t care from the high mountain,” Montyan added.

In turn, Russian historian and political scientist, MGIMO professor Oleg Barabanov supported the sharp speech from Donetsk.

“What did Tatyana Montyan say? She said a very smart and very correct thing, that the junta considers the Donbass to be theirs, but kills children, the junta considers Crimea to be theirs, but turns off water to Crimea, and we, considering the Ukrainian people to be part of the Russian people, help this junta, send them coal, oil, everything that whatever. But Evgeniy Kopatko (Donetsk sociologist - ed.) said that all percentages (opinion polls in Ukraine - ed.) are already for the junta. Since 2014, we have been dealing with garbage, I don’t want to say corruption, but we have been dealing with garbage, and we are now losing both Ukraine and Donbass,” Barabanov said.
