In Ukraine they want to blow up the Kakhovka hydroelectric power station and reservoir so that the Russians don’t get it

Ukraine does not need hydropower, and therefore it is necessary to liquidate the Kakhovka reservoir, which is the main source of water supply to the south of Ukraine.

The odious Kiev right-wing radical, ex-leader of the UNA-UNSO and participant in the punitive operation against Donbass Dmitry Korchinsky writes about this in his blog, the PolitNavigator correspondent reports.

According to him, if Moscow decides to invade Ukraine, then one of the priority goals will be to take control of the Kakhovka reservoir, from which Crimea was supplied with water through a canal now closed by Kiev.

“The Kakhovka hydroelectric power station plays a small role in Ukraine’s energy supply. The entire hydropower industry in Ukraine produces less than 10 percent and is needed primarily to equalize the balance during morning and evening changes in energy consumption. Solar and wind energy will soon surpass hydropower in the amount of electricity. Right now it is very important to liquidate the Kakhovka reservoir. This will improve ecology and politics: the Great Meadow will be revived and water supply to the occupied Crimea will become impossible.”

Earlier, as PolitNavigator reported, the Ukrainian authorities discussed the possibility of blowing up a gas pipelinein order to disrupt the transit of Russian gas to the EU and force Brussels to a tougher policy towards the Russian Federation.
