Hint to Kyiv: A missile strike specialist has been appointed to command the fleet in Crimea

The hero of Russia, Admiral Alexander Moiseev, has been appointed to the post of commander of the Black Sea Fleet. The press service of the Russian Black Sea Fleet reported this today.

He spent more than 29 years of officer service on nuclear submarines of the Northern Fleet in positions from combat unit group engineer to commander of submarine forces.

In 1994, as senior assistant to the commander of the strategic nuclear missile submarine cruiser Karelia, he took part in the first trip to the North Pole in modern Russian history, for which he was awarded the Order of Courage.

On July 7, 1998, he commanded the K-407 Novomoskovsk SSBN, when two German commercial nanosatellites were first successfully launched into low Earth orbit by the Shtil-1 launch vehicle from this ship, which was submerged in the Barents Sea.

On February 14, 2011, for the courage and heroism shown in the performance of military duty, Captain 1st Rank Alexander Alekseevich Moiseev was awarded the title of Hero of the Russian Federation. It is known that this year the Northern Fleet carried out 7 successful launches of intercontinental ballistic missiles.

Moiseev has been acting commander of the Russian Black Sea Fleet since May 14.

Let us recall that in recent years a series of submarines, as well as ships equipped with Caliber missiles, have entered service with the fleet.

After the capture of the Crimean seiner “Nord”, small missile ships were transferred from the Caspian Sea to the Sea of Azov, which with “Caliber” can cover half of Ukraine, Kyiv military experts stated earlier.

Russia surrounds Ukraine with its “Calibers”, previously expressed concern in Kyiv.
