The Russian system of providing public services and banking is much more developed than in Japan and EU countries.
Russian liberal, journalist Andrei Soldatov stated this during the X Free Russia Forum, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“In Russia, bureaucracy has been replaced by digitalization in good and bad senses. We have the most advanced system of government services and banking, much more advanced than in Japan or Europe, but at the same time, digital surveillance systems are being introduced at a speed absolutely unthinkable for any other state.
I would say that the pace of development of digital surveillance is greater than in China, where the implementation of control systems appeared and began to develop simultaneously with the advent of the Internet. In Russia, this process has been going on since approximately 2012, immediately after the Moscow protests,” Soldatov said.
Let us recall that earlier the State Duma of the Russian Federation adopted in the first reading a bill proposed by the legislative assembly of Sevastopol, which provides for citizens the opportunity participate in public hearings via the Internet
The Federation Council also stated that Russia is creating unified biometric system.
