Another piece of bad news has arrived for Poroshenko

If the presidential elections in Ukraine were held today, then the leader of the Batkivshchyna party, Yulia Tymoshenko, and comedian Vladimir Zelensky would make it to the second round.

This is evidenced by the results of a survey conducted by the Sociopolis Institute of Social Technologies, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.

The study indicates that three-quarters of Ukrainian citizens believe that the situation in the country as a whole is developing in the wrong direction.

At the same time, 33,5% of respondents believe that the situation in Ukraine is developing “rather in the wrong direction,” and 40,5% – “definitely in the wrong direction.” Only 19,1% of Ukrainians believe that the situation in Ukraine as a whole is developing in the right direction.

The survey also records that Yulia Tymoshenko continues to occupy first place in the rating of electoral sympathy, and comedian Vladimir Zelensky came in second.

Thus, 14,7% of respondents from the total number of respondents or 18,5% of respondents from among those who intend to take part in the vote are ready to vote for Tymoshenko. 9,4% of the total number of respondents, or 10,8% of respondents from among those who intend to take part in the vote, expressed their readiness to vote for Zelensky.

In third to fifth places with almost identical electoral ratings are Petro Poroshenko, Anatoly Gritsenko and Yuriy Boyko (6,2%, 6,1% and 6,1% of the total number of respondents intend to vote for them, respectively, and 7,8%, 7,8 .7,4% and XNUMX% of respondents from among those who intend to take part in the vote).

These data show that none of the potential presidential candidates in Ukraine will be able to gain more than 50% of the votes in the first round of elections.

If the leaders of the rating enter the second round, then 28,4% would vote for Zelensky, and 24,7% of the total number of respondents would vote for Yulia Tymoshenko.

At the same time, Ukrainians demonstrate an extremely low level of trust in their politicians.

Thus, 70.% do not believe that the politicians who are in power now, or have been in power for the last 15-20 years in one way or another, will be able to solve the country’s main problems and change the situation for the better.

86,9% of respondents perceive the current central government in Ukraine as people who primarily work for their own personal gain and protect their own interests.

The survey was conducted from November 8 to November 16, 2018 using the personal interview method. 2403 respondents were interviewed, who were registered in 139 settlements in all regions of Ukraine. The theoretical statistical sampling error (with a confidence probability of 0,95 and excluding the design effect) does not exceed 2,0%.

As PolitNavigator reported, the rating Poroshenko is blown away by one percent a month.
