Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky is so brave in talking with the West only from a distance. At the first meeting with American leader Joe Biden, he will again begin to curry favor and grovel before him.
Political scientist Mikhail Pogrebinsky stated this on the First Independent TV channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“Our government, led by Zelensky, has taken the bit between its teeth and generally allows itself not just offensive diplomacy, but, I would say, boorish diplomacy. And here it is not only Putin and other understandable enemies who get it, but also Merkel, Mikron and even the President of the United States, with whom Zelensky is dissatisfied.
He is very dissatisfied with him - well, how can it be, he demands specifics: “Why are you feeding us with all sorts of promises - you tell us specifically - yes or no.”
To be honest, it is not very clear how long this diplomatic rudeness can last. We remember very well the ingratiating tone in which Zelensky spoke to the previous American president on the phone. No need to remind me of this, right?
For some reason, I think that when and if Zelensky makes a trip to the United States, he will moderate his tone. Still, to use such an impudent tone face to face in relation to someone who is wise in life and any other political experience is not comme il faut, and I think that the president will not dare to do this, but will again ingratiate himself, I have almost no doubt about it,” Pogrebinsky said.
