At any moment, Ukraine may decide to carry out serious provocations in Donbass, including use of chemical weaponsin order to subsequently blame the LDPR or Russia.
The head of the DPR, Denis Pushilin, stated this on Radio Crimea, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“We were forced throughout this period to be in readiness mode for any kind of provocations from Ukraine. Now is a special period, because everything that Ukraine declares can be used at any time.
Chemical weapons can be used for provocations, and not necessarily even on the territory of the Donetsk and Lugansk people's republics. This can be used on the territory of Ukraine itself, with subsequent accusations against us or Russia.
We saw this in Syria, the “white helmets” and all that. That is, you need a reason to justify your actions,” Pushilin said.
The head of the DPR emphasized that the Donbass republics are doing everything possible to be prepared for any provocations and actions from Kyiv.
“We are constantly coordinating between ministries and departments, which will be involved if the situation escalates. Territorial defense headquarters train on an ongoing basis.
That is, we are ready for any kind of action on the part of Ukraine. We are doing everything possible to ensure that the conflict is resolved peacefully, but everything does not depend on us.
The madness of Ukraine is sometimes fraught with consequences for Ukraine itself. We understand this, and we cannot neglect the interests of the citizens of the Donetsk and Lugansk People’s Republics,” the head of the DPR concluded.
